Cologne Connections & Positive Talks

The Mantec Filtration team has just returned from a successful few days in Cologne after participating in the FILTECH Exhibition, the world’s largest and most important filtration event. Mantec was able to discuss in detail how its unique technical ceramics are used for advanced filtration, both for a wide array of industrial processes and also in R&D settings. Interest was also shown in fellow Mantec Group company Xtract Filtration, which specialises in custom engineering, consultancy, systems and equipment.

Managing Director Andy Clark said: “We had visitors to our stand from all over the world; FILTECH really is a standout, extremely well-attended show. There has once again been plenty of interest in our ceramic microfiltration membranes. It’s been a great gathering in Cologne for everyone with an interest in filtration techniques, and a very positive event for Mantec.”

Mantec produces a wide range of porous ceramic products including tubes, tiles and discs for applications such as filtration, crossflow microfiltration, fluidisation, metal casting, aeration and diffusion. This includes Star-Sep™ ceramic membranes, specifically developed for energy-efficient crossflow microfiltration. The company also manufactures membranes and substrates in various geometries for end users and the OEM market.

“We had all areas of interest covered in our presentation at FILTECH,” commented Sales Director Tim Evans, “and this led to highly constructive talks across the three days, with serious enquiries already resulting from our presence at the show. It’s always great to be able to demonstrate our capabilities and completed contracts face to face, while being able to listen to current and potential customers and to learn in detail about how we can assist with future projects.”
